The Barcelona Institute for Global Health is a consolidated hub of excellence in research with the overall mission to improve global health and promote health equity through excellence in research and the translation and application of knowledge.

ISGlobal is the coordinator of the ACROBAT consortium leading the activities performed in collaboration with the partners with closer involvement in the clinical, health impact and social sciences aspects of the project.

CISM is a consolidated research center, highly specialized and with a strong capacity for research on transmissible diseases prevalent in Mozambique, with particular focus on the main causes of morbidity and mortality in the country (malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and bacterial diseases).

CISM is the scientific lead of the project and responsible for the clinical validation aspect of the project. Led by Dr. Inácio Mandomando the team will be taking part in study preparation and implementation.

Global Health Uganda is a multidisciplinary research collaboration that conducts and facilitates research in child health, neurodevelopment and interventions.

Global Health Uganda will conduct participants enrolment from Uganda and as well conduct biomarker testing.

Haramaya University is a pioneer of higher learning in Ethiopia.
Through the Hararghe Health Research Partnership (HHR) with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), it has been conducting several studies, including CHAMPS and ECHILIBIRST.

HU will collaborate with LSHTM in the conduct of the study at Hiwot Fana Comprehensive Specialized University Hospital in Harar, Ethiopia.

The Centre de Recherches Médicales de Lambaréné (CERMEL) is an outstanding research center in Central Africa and has contributed to significant milestones and achievements in the fields of malaria, Ebola, and severe disease prognosis

CERMEL will lead the study site in Gabon, conduct participants enrolment, and lead the data management and statistics tasks.

The Vision of the Faculty of Medicine at Eduardo Mondlane University is to be an institution of excellence in the training of doctors and other health professionals and related areas and a reference in research and extension, contributing to the health and well-being of the individual and the community of Mozambique, Africa and the World in general.

The institution will coordinate study implementation and recruitment at Hospital Central de Maputo (HCM).

Hutzpa is an innovation platform empowering African leaders to drive bold, transformative change. Our mission is to cultivate a new generation of innovators who challenge norms and create sustainable growth across diverse sectors, combining deep industry knowledge with cutting-edge technology to drive transformative change and sustainable growth.

Hutzpa will provide expert guidance in regulatory compliance and market entry strategy for the X-TREM test in select Sub-Saharan African countries. Additionally, it will develop comprehensive business plans and lead the go-to-market strategies.

BioEclosion SL is a spin-off of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) with the aim to become the new gold standard for early detection of diseases affecting global health. BioEclosion SL has developed a magnetic IVD which improves the current state-of-art by easing the test performance with a quick, easy to read, one-time use and reliable cartridge embracing the ASSURED guidelines for point-of-need devices.

BioEclosion owns the core technology for the non-invasive IVD to detect both biomarkers at point-of-care.

The Institute of Tropical Medicine, Travel Medicine and Human Parasitology (ITM), specializes in infectious diseases like malaria, (neglected) tropical diseases and human parasitosis. The Institute of Tropical Medicine is a member of the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF) and specializes in clinical trials where strong translational collaborations with international (intercontinental) partners are paired with a wide range curriculum for medical students.

The UT team assumes the leadership on the project for Data management and analysis.

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is renowned for its research, postgraduate studies and continuing education in public and global health. LSHTM is uniquely placed to help shape health policy and translate research findings into tangible impact through its international collaborations.

LSHTM administers the study in Hiwot Fana Comprehensive Specialized University Hospital, Harar, Ethiopia, in collaboration with Haramaya University through the Hararghe Health Research Partnership (HHR) with leadership in the social sciences evaluation of the project.
